I wish every person at Calvary, all the thousands and thousands who are grieving Chuck Smith, could see - wish they could know what a good job MCC in general has done in creating spaces where hurting Christians of any stripe can find enough of themselves to feel welcomed and embraced and at home, and the central role you and your gifts have had in furthering that. I wish you were going to be singing from the platform at his "home-going," not just from the audience or in your heart. But I know this: where he is now, he's for sure rejoicing in you and your gifts and all the many souls you've touched. And in that, I rejoice, too.

Hi Marsha, I missed you coming to my church, The Sanctuary, in Fort Lauderdale last month. I have recently come out and would love to see your ministry. I grew up singing "For those Tears I died" in youth group, it's so great to know who wrote it. I also sing in a worship band called Jericho Rising. We are doing some mission concerts next month. Check out our webpage.

Let's try this again. I am sorry I missed you when you were in the Bay area the weekend of the 9th. :bawling: I would have loved to see you, it has been a very long time, with may events since we last saw each other. You would not believe how big mine and Robbie's son is getting; 12 years old, 5' entering 7th grade; she'd be so proud of him. he's following her footsteps and is in the band. I'll have to sign up again for the newsletter so I can keep track of where you are. Love to you and Cindy. Leanna

Hi Marsha, Our church is currently doing a series on supporting gay rights and gay marriage, and I've been looking for sheet music or chords for songs that are affirming. I'm the choir director and praise band leader at our church (a small 80 member church). Would you know where I can find sheet music or lead sheets to purchase? Bonnie Bezon bonnie.bezon@gmail.com

Hi Marsha- I'm one of the Calvary Chapel pre-tent/tent/after the tent people, and just started getting a bit nostalgic for some COTD music today. I was so desperate that I got into my cassette tape drawer and got out the only COTD cassette that I managed to hang onto for the past 40 years... the Christmas Album! I put it in the old tape player, and wouldn't you know it, someone had put a different tape inside! I said, "Hey, this isn't Children of the Day!" to my 30 year old son who I was trying to impress! Then, in desperation, I went to your website and downloaded two COTD albums, then went to ebay and bought an unopened, sealed since the 70's, Christmas Album! Of course I couldn't stop there, so watched the Kathryn Kuhlman video (good memories... I was there!) and the recent one of you, Wendy, and your daughter. Loved it! Brought tears to my eyes! I'm not sure if Wendy remembers me, but I was her cabin mate at Idyllwild summer camp, and we were friends (at least I thought so! I felt so special to have a celebrity in the bunk next to me!). Thanks for brightening up my day! Lots of love to you and Wendy! nspohn@gmail.com

How do you feel about prohetic/ spontaneous worship? I have put my musical gifts on the back burner-- well all the ministry gifts and callings-- because I couldn't stand up in a mainstream church and allow the gifts to flow because I was distracted by - What if-- what are they thinking-- do they see-- So it occurred to me that this is one place I could flow and not try to hide myself. (Marsha's answer: Of course I love prophetic gifts and spontaneous worship - and your feelings remind me of my very own in a song I wrote called "What If They Knew." I'll send it to you :-))

I haven't checked on you in a while-- I am glad to know that you are still here. Confirmation on writing the book. Peoples' stories - true life experiences- is turning hearts. I need to tell mine but I am chicken-- was depressed today couln't get it together to get to work and turned on the tv to her a program tease-- Creflo--"There is a reason God brought you here in this time" Following Program-- "the Jewish Jesus"-- the Song of Songs-- God is so in love with me... God has been pointing me to tell my story and in fact I wrote my Partner this morning, as we are geographically separated and her family doesn't know about us, that I can't take this anymore and I had one more memoir to write then I was hanging up my hat and checking in (to Heaven). Marilyn and Sarah (Hickey) came on and her subject is don't let anxiety and pressures overwhelm you-- I paused her program to see what was going on with you and I see that you are writing a book. You should-- as well as I and anyone else who Loves God and Loves people and find themselves as they get older in this quandrum. I gotta go-- but thank you for your web presence. (Marsha's answer: Wow, I love those moments when Jesus just KEEPS on whispering in my ear. So sweet. And thank you very much for the writing encouragement. It is much needed.)
