No wonder i never fit into the church
Hey there and blessings,
Question: will you be in the Philly area this coming year? (2009)Would LOVE to have you come and worship with my church in Glenside (Imago Dei MCC).
Hi Marsha! Your song, For those tears I died was a major blessing to me in my life a few years ago. My dear sister, Marnie was in a very bad car accident when she was 16 that left her with a traumatic brain injury. I listened to that song over and over during that trial. Marnie is fine now. She is a healthy happy Christian woman with a good career at Jenni Craig in North Wilmington and she just has a small trach scar to show for her accident. She will be turning 30 this january. Praise God for when she was in her coma for a month they told me she could have died. I am a singer/songwriter and have sung your song many times in church. My friends and family want me to record it so I can put in a Cd and sell my Cds at church. I am working on a 10 song cd and would like your permission to place the song on my cd. I would love to send you a copy of the song when it is recorded so you can hear how I sing it. Your music is a blessing and God bless you for being a beautiful light for others. I hope I get to meet you sometime in the near future.
P.S. Your pictures are wonderful on the website. God has blessed you with a lovely family.
So fun to catch up on your adventures! Imagine we met over 25 years ago! I am now a photographer with two daughters of my own! Love to you!
Hey Connie! Wow, how great to hear your cybervoice - and your testimony. I am SO glad to know that you healing is continuing - in the soul you weren't sure you had. I was hoping for some Florida holiday concerts, too but everyone seems to want to go to the new year. Oh well. Hope you can make it to Orlando at Eastertime. Many blessings on your holidays, Marsha
It's been sooo long since I've seen you and Cindy but every year around this time I am blessed to remember how I saw you the first time on Christmas Day in L.A. (about 8yrs ago now) and how you literally saved my life as the whole reason for my going to L.A. was to say "goodbye" to a friend. My life changed that night. I gained hope hearing you sing and hearing your wonderful testimony. I've seen you many times since then and have endured continuing struggles but I have to say, my life has never been better. And I've never gone back to where I was the night I first met you--praying to God for a sign that it just might get better, that there just might be some small glimmer of hope. I listened to you and KNEW that there was hope, even for me. Was hoping you'd have some concerts in FL this season but don't see any listed. Blessings to you and Cindy. (I know you already know this but it was a standing joke for a long time between us--Connie in the bright yellow sweater). Love ya.
Great new look for your site Marsha!
Congratulations and may God continue to bless you and your wonderful ministry.
I always feel badly when people leave questions here because it doesn't show me your email address or how to write back to you! I think you are looking for a CD, not a DVD, right? Something that just plays music? If so, you can find For Those Tears I Died on amazon.com or on CDbaby.com. It is on my CD called "In Retrospect." It is also on the CD just re-released from 1970 called "Come to the Waters" by The Children of the Day (a group we started in the 70's where you can hear me singing it VERY young) and on a Bill Gaither CD called "Oh My Glory." I hope that helps! Blessings to you, Marsha
PS: Any of you can write me at my email address: SSBalm@aol.com
